Scene 13

Jake and Vicky are standing at the nursery window.

Jake: They're so beautiful!

Vicky: I know! I can't wait to take them home!

Jake: Me too, but the doctor said that we have to wait a couple of days because they are preemies, and I am not taking any chances with our daughters' health.

Vicky: I know, but believe it or not, I am looking forward to those 2 AM feedings.

Jake: Me too. (Looks at Vicky, who is yawning.) Vic, why don't you go back to your room and take a nap. There's something that I need to do anyway.

Vicky (looks at him, wondering what he is up to): What exactly do you have to do McKinnon?

Jake: Wouldn't you like to know? (laughs) Now, c'mon. It's time for you to get some sleep.

Takes Vicky's hand and walks her back to her room after they wave good-bye their two little angels.

Scene 14

Outside Vicky's hospital room. Jake is peering into her window. He smiles and pulls out his cell phone.

Jake: Hey Cupcake...I got great news!...I meant to tell you sooner, but I got caught up....Okay, okay, hold your horses....Your godchildren are here!...Yup....They were born about 2 hours ago.....(long pause...hear Paulina yelling at Jake as Jake pulls phone
away from his ear)...I'm sorry...I know I should have called you earlier....Their names are Nicole Michaela and Bridget Ryan....Anyway, Paulina, I need some help. Can you meet me at Carlino's in say 10 minutes? There's something I need to do!

Scene 16

Jake and Paulina are outside Carlino's

Paulina: So, what do you need me to do?

Jake (pulls Paulina over to car parked by the alley. Pulls out 2 huge teddy bears): Can you take these to the Bay City Mall for me and get my girls' names on them and their date of birth? There's something else that I need to do before Vicky wakes up and I'm not gonna have enough time to do both. I really need your help Cupcake.

Paulina: Anything for those two little angels and their devil of a father!

Jake: Thanks, Cupcake! (Kisses her cheek) I really need to get going! Bye!

Jake gets into his car and drives away as Paulina stands there holding two teddy bears, smiling and shaking her head.

Scene 17

Jake is standing outside the hospital talking to the orderly.

Jake: So, everything is taken care of?

Orderly: Yes sir, Mr. McKinnon.

Jake: Good man. (Hands him a $20 bill.) Now, get going.

Jake looks around.

Jake: Where is Paulina? (Looks at his watch. Then back up. He sees Paulina running down the street holding the bears. Jake laughs. Then walks out to her an takes a bear from her. Looks at the bears.) Paulina, these are perfect! (Gives Paulina a kiss.) Vicky is going to love these! Thank you so much!

Paulina: You're welcome. Now get inside and surprise your wife.

Jake: Okay, but thanks again. (Grabs the other bear and runs inside.)

Scene 18

Vicky's room is filled with yellow roses and the two bears are sitting in front of Vicky's bed on a stand. Jake is sitting next to Vicky's bed just staring at her while she sleeps.

Jake (in a whisper): I can't wait for you to wake up! I can't wait to see the look on your face!

Vicky starts to stir at hearing Jake's voice. Jake pushes the hair from Vicky's forehead. She opens her eyes and looks at Jake.

Jake: Have a good nap, sleepyhead?

Vicky: Mmmmhmmm. And a pretty good dream too. (Laughs. Rubs her eyes, and looks around the room. As she does, her mouth drops open. She begins to cry when she sees the teddy bears.)

Jake: You like?

Vicky: Oh Jake! Do I like it? I love it! I can't believe you did this. I love you so much! And I love our babies!

Jake: I love you and the babies too!

Vicky looks at Jake, touches his face, and then brings his face to hers. She kisses his cheek, and then moves to his lips. The scene fades out as Jake and Vicky kiss.

Scene 19

2 days later

Jake is talking to Dr. Doyle.

Jake: So, when can Vicky and the girls go home?

Dr. Doyle: Depends...

Jake: Depends on what?

Dr. Doyle: How fast can you bring your car around?!

Jake: Do you mean that I can take my wife and girls home today?

Dr. Doyle: Yes I do!

Jake: Oh, thank you! (Grabs Dr. Doyle and gives her a kiss on the cheek) Thank you so much. (Turns and runs towards Vicky's room.)

Dr. Doyle ( a shocked look on her face): No, thank you. (puts her
hand to her cheek)

Scene 20

Vicky's hospital room.

Vicky is sitting in a wheelchair. Jake is walking around the room packing Vicky's things up. Two nurses walk in. Each one is carrying a baby wrapped in a pink blanket.

Vicky: Oh...Jake...look who's here!

Jake: My girls! (Takes a baby.) Now let me think. This one
is....Bridget. (Looks at little wristband) Oh, I'm good!!!

Vicky: It's going to be hard to tell them apart soon, but I guess we'll figure something out to distinguish them.

Jake: We better. (Hands Bridget to Vicky. Takes Nicole from other nurse.) Let's split.

Nurse wheels Vicky out of the room. Outside the room is all of Jake and Vicky's friends and family. They clap when they see Vicky and Jake walk out of the room. Marley, Donna and the boys all walk up to Jake and Vicky. Marley takes Nicole from Jake.

Marley: Well, hello there sweetie! Aren't you just adorable? Everyone, come see how cute my nieces are!

Everyone crowds around Jake, Vicky and the babies as the scene fades out.

Scene 21

Jake and Vicky are each carrying a baby and are walking towards
the house along with the boys. Jake and Vicky stop and sit down on
the bench. The boys stand on either side of them.

Vicky (Looks around and then looks at Jake): Jake, we finally have our happily ever after. We finally have our family!

Jake: Me, you, the boys, and our babies together forever. (Looking at Steven) Here take your sister for a second. (Runs inside the house.)

Vicky: Where is he going?

Steven, Kirk, and Vicky wait for Jake with puzzled looks on their faces. All of a sudden, Jake comes back out.

Vicky: Why did you go inside?

Jake: To get this. (pulls out a knife.)

Steven: What's that for?

Kirk: Yeah Jake...

Jake: Everyone, gather around.

Jake and his family walk over to a tree. Jake engraves "Jake, Vicky,
Steven, Kirkland, Bridget, and Nicole 4ever"

Vicky: But what if we have more children?

Jake: Then I guess we'll need another tree!

Everyone laughs as the camera focuses on the engraving and then fades out.
