Just the Six of Us, Part 3

Scene 6

Jake: What do you mean it's time? It can't be time! You're not due for another 3 weeks!

Vicky: Don't tell me! Tell them! (pointing to her stomach)

Jake: Oh God! Ok, just...just...just stay right there. I'll go get the bags and my car keys. (Jake runs to the stairs and falls over Kirkland's toy truck. Vicky laughs and Jake gets right back up and runs up the stairs.)

Vicky (calling after him): Jake, relax, we have time!

Vicky shakes her head as we fade out.

Scene 7

Jake runs into the hospital, but Vicky doesn't seem to be there.

Jake (talking to nurse at desk): My wife...my wife...is giving....birth!

Nurse: Where is your wife?

(Jake turns around to look for Vicky. All of a sudden, Vicky strolls through the door.)

Jake: Vicky! What took you so long?

Vicky: Jake! I'm going into labor. I can't sprint!

Nurse laughs. Jake glares at her and the nurse stops.

Jake (seeing an orderly walking with a wheelchair): Hey! Gimme that buddy! (Grabs the chair from the orderly) Here Vicky. Sit.

Vicky sits in the wheelchair. Jake sees Vicky's OB/GYN (forgot what they said her name was in the show, so I'm just going to make one up for now. Someone let me know what her name is, please!) and runs toward her.

Jake: Miss Collins! Miss Collins!

Miss Collins (turning around): Mr. McKinnon! What are you doing here?

Jake: Vicky's giving birth!

Miss Collins: Oh, well, c'mon, we better get her a room.

Scene 8

Vicky is sitting in bed and Jake is standing right beside her in a pair of scrubs. Miss Collins is at the end of the bed encouraging Vicky to push.

Jake: C'mon honey! Push! Our little girls are almost here!

Miss Collins: Listen to your husband! C'mon Vicky push! Push!

Vicky (pushing): AHHHHHHHHHH! (she squeezes Jake's hand very hard.)

Vicky and Jake: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Vicky finally lets up.

Jake: Ouch! That hurt!

Vicky: Well, this is all your fault!

Jake: From what I remember, you were just as willing as I was.

Vicky: Oh no! Here comes another one! AHHHHHHHHH!

Miss Collins: I see a head. I see a head.

Jake: Vicky! They're almost here! They're almost here!

Vicky is still pushing.

Miss Collins: Here come the shoulders! C'mon Vicky! One more good push!

Vicky: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (pushes with all her might)

Baby: WAAAHHH!!

Miss Collins: Congratulations! You have a brand new baby.......

Scene fades.
