Scene 16
Jake and the boys have just landed at the Oakdale airport

Jake: (looking around) Well boys here we are let's go grab our stuff

Steven: Well Jake this place doesn't look so bad

Kirk: Do you like it here?

Jake: Yeah it's okay, now come on the sooner we get to the house...the sooner we get to go to Bay City!!

Steven: Are we spending the night at the house Jake?

Jake: Well I didn't really think about it (knowing how hard it would be) I guess I just thought we would sleep at my apartment

Steven: Ohhh come on Jake, I want to sleep in our house

Jake: Well Steven it isn't really our house anymore, it's for sale

Steven: Why are you selling it?

Jake:(not able to look the boys in the eye) I just have to guys (grabbing their bags) come on grab your stuff and let's go

Steven: (looking around as they drive to the house) I would have liked to live here, it seems nice

Kirk: Yeah Jake, I like it here, can we move here?

Jake:(smiling) Guys we've already discussed this...besides you haven't even been outside, how do you know that you like it?

Steven: Because you live here and Mom liked it enough to move

Jake: (changing the subject as the pull up to the house) Well here we are

Steven: Cool!! I like this Jake, its a lot like the cottage

Kirk: I like it too

Jake: (hesitating)...Well I guess it's time to go inside


Scene 17
Jake and the boys go to see what Vicky left them

Steven: (opening the door) Its so empty...but it feels like home

Jake: (looking sad again) Well we didn't get a chance to move anything in here so thats why its so empty

Kirk: (Seeing the "Welcome Home" sign) See Jake mommy says this is our home

Jake: It was Kirk...it was, now come on guys you know this isn't easy for me but I have to sell this house

Steven: We know Jake, come on let's see what mom left for us

Jake:(smiling taking both boys hands) Okay let's go (walking up the stairs Jake sees another note from Vicky on the floor with a present next to it ) what's this.... "open this one first" (opening the note hearing Vicky's voice) "never forget the times we've shared as a family" (Jake opens the box and takes out a small golden chest or drawer that has Cherished engraved on it, Jake opens the drawer and pulls out a picture from New York, begins to cry) I can't believe she did this

Steven: (standing on his tip-toes) Did what, let me see

Kirk: (jumping up in the air) Yeah me too

Jake: (showing the guys the present) See guys after our trip to New York your mom and I were talking about all of her memories being stored in her mind and she said that our trip to New York was good stuff and it would go under the drawer marked cherished

Steven: Cool let's see what else there is (walking down the hall) here's another one Jake

Jake: (still mesmerized by the first present) Okay I'm coming (walking down the hall seeing the second note) "This one it for you Mckinnon, I love you" (opening the box Jake sees a picture frame and another note) "This is to thank you for giving me my wonderful life and now these babies. I want you to know that you are the very best part of me and I will love you forever and ever" (as Jake takes the frame out of the box we see that it has a collage with pics of Jake and Vicky and the kids and he continues reading the note) "I have left room for pictures of the twins to complete our beautiful family picture. I want this to hang this on a wall at your office, it's a little dull so this will add some color to it! And it will let any ladies who are interested know that you are taken so they better keep their hands off!! Always remember that we are soulmates and it will always be Jake and Vicky forever!" (crying) Oooh God, I love you too Vicky!!

Steven: (taking Jake's hand) Come on Jake, let's see what else there is

Kirk: (taking his other hand) Yeah come on Jake I saw another one in this bedroom

Jake: (walking inside the bedroom) This is your bedroom Steven, we finally decided that you two should have separate rooms

Steven: An even better reason to live here, I don't have to share a room with Kirk anymore

Kirk: (in that cute voice) HEY!! (hitting Steven in the arm)

Jake: (stepping between them) Come on guys, go on Steven see what your mom left you

Steven: (picking up a note we hear Vic's voice again) "My big boy, you are my first child and you are so precious to me. The years have gone by so fast but I want you to know that I am always here for you no matter how old you are, you will always be my baby, I love you with all of my heart" (Steven opens the present and we see Vicky's engagement ring and another note) " I know that you aren't exactly into girls right now but one day I know you will be and I want you to hang onto this and give it to the girl that you want to spend the rest of your life with. This is the engagement ring that Jake gave to me and it is very precious to me and I am passing it on to you now. Take good care of it!!" Wow mom gave me her ring...look Jake (shows it to Jake)

Jake: (taking the ring) I see it buddy, your mom is right this ring is very precious and I want you to find the kind of love that we had because it's the kind that last forever

Kirk: Can we go see what she left for me now?

Jake: Sure kiddo (as Jake and Kirk walk out of the room Steven stays behind)

Steven: Thanks mom, I'll take good care of it!! I know you are looking over us and I just hope and pray that you will somehow make Jake see that we belong with him. Please mom make him adopt us I want him to be my dad. I love you and I miss you so much....(he stops as he hears Jake yell for him) Okay coming, bye mom

Jake: (Seeing Steven walk in the room) Where were you?

Steven: Sorry I just had to do something, what did you get Kirk?

Kirk:(handing Jake the note) I don't know I can't read that well yet, can you read it to me Jake

Jake: Sure (beginning to read the note) "Kirkland, I want you to know how proud I am of you. You are such a blessing and I hold every single moment with you in my heart. You are my baby boy and I have loved you from the day you were born. If you are ever lost or afraid just know that I am always going to be there for you and there is nothing that could ever make me stop loving you! (Kirk opens the box and takes out Bridget's tuppens and hands Jake another note) "Here's your lucky tuppens, I hope it brings you all kinds of good luck in your life. Whenever you are scared or if you ever feel alone just know that Bridget is looking out for you and you will always be safe!"

Kirk: Cool I get Bridget's lucky tuppens!!

Jake: Thats pretty special Kirk, now you know that no matter what you will always have luck

Steven: (from Jake and Vicky's bedroom) Hey Jake here's the last one I think

Jake: (walking into the room) Well let's see what it is (Jake grabs the note) " Okay this is the last one, it's nothing really sentimental but we definitely need one. I love you guys and wherever the three of you are that's where I belong!! I love you, Vicky/Mom" (opening the box and pulling at a "welcome" mat, Jake looks at it and begins to cry) "Welcome to the Mckinnon House, Home of Jake, Vicky, Steven, and Kirkland" (Jake sees Vicky's last note and hesitates to read it)

Steven: Come on Jake, read it, it's the last note from mom

Jake: (looking at the two boys) That's just it, this is the last note, I just don't know if I can bare to read your mother's final words, it just hurts too much

Kirk:(taking Jake's hand) Its okay Jake, we'll help you. We're a family and families are always there to help eachother get through the bad stuff. So come on read it and don't worry about crying, I do it all the time!

Steven: Kirks right Jake, mom would want it this way... the three of us together reading this! So let's get it over with

Jake:(trying to be brave) Okay let's see what else your mom has to say (opens the envelope we here Vicky's voice) "Hey guys, well I hope you enjoyed opening all of these. I know that we are going to be making so many new memories in this house and I just wanted it to start out with some of the old memories! The three of you have completed my life and now with the twins I feel like I have recieved a bonus that I never deserved! I love my life and I am the happiest person in the world!! Thank you for always making my good days better and the bad days okay!! Never, ever.....and I mean EVER forget how much I love all three of you!! We are a family and it will always be that way!! All my love, Vicky" ... (barely able to talk) Well I guess that's it

Steven:(crying and putting his arm around Kirk) Yeah, that's it. Jake....I wanna stay here tonight, please. I want to be in our house! We'll get sleeping bags and camp out like we used to

Kirk: (trying to quit crying) Can we Jake?

Jake: (not able to say "no" to the boys) Okay, we'll get some sleeping bags and light a fire and roast marshmellows

Steven and Kirk: (hugging Jake) YEA!!!

Jake: Okay Okay, now let's go and get your some of your stuff out of the car and them we will sleep here and then in the morning we'll head for Bay City

Steven: I can't wait to go back home to see Nana and everyone else

Jake: I know, they can't wait to see the two of you either...come on let's get your stuff out of the car

(as the three of them go out the car we see Bridget again)

Bridget: I swear Jake, I don't know what I can do to get you to listen...you have to go find Victoria...Come on boys help him get his head screwed back on again, he's not listening to me....maybe if I can get through to one of you...

Kirk: Hey did you hear something Steven?

Steven: No Kirk, probably just the wind

Kirk:(looking around and seeing Bridget) I don't think so...look

Steven: At what?

Kirk: At her...that old lady over there

Steven: Kirk, are you going through that imaginary friend thing again?

Kirk: No really Steven, she's right there

Jake: (looking at them) Come on guys, help me get some stuff

Steven: (shaking his head) Come on Kirk, let's help Jake

Bridget: (walking over to Kirk) Hi Kirkland, can you see me?

Kirk: (whispering) yes, who are you?

Bridget: My name is Bridget, I think your mother has told you about me, I took care of you when you were a baby

Kirk: Yeah I know who you are

Bridget: Well, I need your help, will you be my secret friend?

Kirk: Your secret friend?

Bridget: Yes, see you can't tell anyone else you see me, not Steven, not Jake, not anyone!!

Kirk: Okay I won't

Bridget: Good, now I need your help, I can't tell you everything but you are going to help me fix some things

Kirk: Like what?

Bridget: Like Jake, my dear, I have to go but I will be back, and remember, don't tell anyone you see me!!

Kirk: Bye Bridget (walks over to help Jake)

Jake: Hey little buddy were you talking to someone?

Kirk: (smiling) Nope, I wasn't talking anyone
