A Dream Come True, Part 5

Scene 6
Mid-Morning

They are packing a bag for the days events.

Vicky: Jake, do you realize I only have 2 outfits that fit me right now?

Jake: And you look beautiful in each one!

Vicky: I'm serious! What am I going to do if these babies don't come for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Jake: I can think of a solution.

Vicky: In your dreams, McKinnon! That's how I got this way in the first place!

Jake: Vicky, I will love you if you never have these babies . . .

Vicky: Oh Jake, please don’t say that!!

Jake: (laughs) I mean it! (kisses her) We should be going now.

Vicky: I can’t wait to see my big boys again!! Let’s go!

Scene 7

The Airport

The boys plane has just arrived and they are waiting for them to get off.

Jake: Vicky, they don’t know you’re alive yet, so why don’t you sit at those tables over there and I will bring them to you.

Vicky: Oh, I love this!! Hurry over, McKinnon, I don’t want to be without my kids any longer than I have too.

Jake: Don’t worry about a thing, I will bring them right over!

Jake kisses her and she goes and sits down at a table. Jake is still looking over at Vicky admiringly when the he hears the boys.

Steven & Kirk: (running towards Jake) Jake!!

Jake: Hey Men!! (gives them both a big hug) How was your flight?

Steven: It was great, Jake! The stewardesses let us sit with the pilot and he even let me work some controls.

Jake: Way cool!! How about you, little buddy? Did you get to work some controls, too?

Kirk: Yeah, he let me put the wheels down.

Jake: Wow!

Jake looks over to Vicky and shoots her a little smile, then he brings the boys over to the chairs.

Jake: Listen guys, I have someone who really wants to see the both of you.

Steven & Kirk: Who?

Jake: Well, why don’t I just show you. You are going to be so happy!

Jake leads them over to Vicky’s table and the boys both look stunned.

Steven: Mom? Is that you?

Kirk: Mom?

Vicky: (she starts to cry) Yeah, it’s really me. You are both so big! I have missed you so much.

Before she can say another work, Steven runs into her arms and Kirkland is right behind him.

Steven: I missed you, too, mom!!

Vicky: Oh, this feels so good!! I’m never going anywhere again, I promise you!!

Jake is standing behind them and tears are coming to his eyes.

Jake: Do you mind if I join this hug?

Vicky: What do you think, guys? Should we let him in?

Steven & Kirk: Yeah!!

Jake: (playfully) Oh gee, thanks!

Jake joins the hug and they all laugh.
